Happy New Year Illinois Council Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support.
You’ve been awesome and have extended me exceptional hospitality
as I’ve traveled both near and far visiting local association.
I would also like to thank you for a great turnout at the 2007 Illinois
Council meeting. The meeting was superb and well executed by the Bloomington
Normal Insurance Association. I am looking forward to next year’s
council hosted by the Northwest Suburban Insurance Professionals will
be a success.
We’re growing. From May through December, 2007, the Illinois
Council has grown remarkably with 24 new members. Please visit the
website for a list of new members. I would like to applaud you all
for your efforts as each association has increased in membership.
In addition, we have three new members-at-large. We have surpassed
our goal of twenty new members and are sprinting towards our stretch
goal of thirty new members. I am sure that we can achieve this goal
and look forward to sharing and celebrating this accomplishment with
you.
So far, so good. Together, we have completed our primary goal of
creating the Illinois Council website. I encourage you to visit the
site often for member news, a list of new members, local meeting information
and member accomplishments. This is just one method we’ve instituted
to communicate with you.
To date, I’ve visited Aurora, Rockford, Freeport and Springfield
Association meetings. In the near future, I will be visiting the Chicago
Association and the Bloomington Normal Insurance Association. I have
enjoyed meeting new members, guests and prospective members. The visits
have given me the opportunity to reacquaint and reestablish relationships
with local presidents and members alike.
The Regional meeting is fast approaching. Don’t miss the opportunity
to attend the meeting in Sioux Falls, SD. The registration form is
located on the website. The website address is: www.ilcouncilofnaiw.org.
Finally, I invite you to contact me with questions, ideas and feedback.
I represent you and want you to know that your concerns are important.
As members of NAIW, you deserve first-rate representation and it is
my pleasure to serve you.
Yours in fellowship,
Viola Lashley
