2008 Regional meeting - Sioux Falls, SD

Council Report on 2008 Region V Conference

2007 Illinois Council Meeting Perspectives

Meeting Recap here...

Susan Stone, President of NSIP writes:
The Illinois council convention was a great time, from the food, to the location, the auction, the entertainment, meetings and speakers. It was informative, motivational and most of all fun. It was my third convention and the best so far. (It was a bonus to be sharing a room with two of my local chapter friends as it gave us a chance to catch up, even though it meant little time for sleep.) Viola Lashley and Bloomington Normal Insurance Association did a fantastic job!

Stephanie Maines, President of IPOF writes:
The Illinois Council meeting this year was fantastic! Alot of things going on and never a dull moment. The location was very nice. A pleasant place to stay. I would have enjoyed watching the large LCD TV a little more if I had time but, they keep you busy so you won't get bored! The food was extraordinary. The entertainment was very, very good and the auction was fun filled. I kinda liked bidding against our President(sorry Viola). The speaker Judy Markowitz, was one that once she started speaking, you wanted her to go on and on and on, fascinating! Our council speak off contestant Lisa Nave, will represent us well at Regional. Just want to give one of our own IPOF members recognition. Cathy Kohlbauer has been elected alternate to the nominating committee, she will be Bea Grant's back up. All in all, it was an informative and fun weekend!

Bea Grant, Council Director Assistant writes:
From the time I arrived until I left after the meeting on Saturday, the annual council meeting was a whirlwind of activity and fellowship. Living in Boston, I do not get to see my friends as often as I would like but for those two days it was as if I had never left, that just goes to show how lasting and strong are the friendships and bonds that occur in this organization. The meeting was well ran and BNIA did an outstanding job!

Arlean Groff, President of the Aurora Association writes:
The Illinois Council Meeting was a success in the eyes of the Aurora
Association. We thoroughly enjoyed the Friday night hospitality room,
auction and barbershop quartet. The BNIA did a wonderful job in
selecting the facility, choosing a speaker and running the program. A
good job by all!

Laurel McVinnie, RAIA President writes:
I thought the state meeting went very well. The presentation on the Website was very informative. BNIA did a great job organizing the meeting and Viola did a great job running the meeting. I'm glad Viola Lashley is the Director for another year!

Barb Pitchford, IPOC President writes:
I would like to thank Bloomington Normal Insurance Association and Viola Lashley for an outstanding job in making the Illinois Council Convention a HUGE SUCCESS. Susan Gray was our delegate; we enjoyed the meetings, food, networking, and speakers. We came back tired but motivated, picked up ideas from other members, and truly felt it was very worthwhile to take the time to go.

Angela Simpson, President of BNIA writes:
I am honored to have worked with the Bloomington-Normal Insurance Association (BNIA) in hosting the 2007 Illinois Council Meeting held in Normal, IL . From the shouts and the cheers, I can tell the Illinois Council members had a terrific time. I know our own BNIA new members and first timers to the Illinois Council meeting had a blast. But all in all, I do want to say congrats to BNIA and to all the Illinois Council members for coming out and making the 2007 Illinois Council a great success.
